I used to consider myself tall until that day when I stepped inside a bistro that made me feel tiny facing its oversized items on display. I ventured “Chez Remy”, the famous Disney restaurant by the popular mouse from the film Ratatouille, located in the Disney Studios France part of the Disneyland complex.
From the minute I walked in, I experienced the feeling of being shrunk down to the size of a rat. The interior is all big big big… everything you face is simply giant.
Created like a scene from the movie with vibrant colors and comfortable seating, the details that were put into the decoration are just amazing. Cocktail umbrellas, jam jar lids for tables, bottle tops for chairs and huge fairy lights hanging overhead are all combined together giving you a rat’s eye view of the world.
Giant plates divided tables, huge knives, forks and so many other details were surrounding the place. It’s the kind of restaurants that make you loose the focus on food, attracting you with its stunning concept.
The lighting was also an interesting well-made feature; next to the fairy lights hanged in the green ceiling and on the edge of the restaurant, lights were conceived to look like the burning remnants of a candle placed on a bent spoon.
With these many attractive decor elements, I found myself looking around at almost everything the entire time I was there. I felt like a little mouse dining in Paris.
Until our next venture…
